I tried playing Form Line of Battle a couple times, and was not terribly happy with it. However, I did do some work to make it easier to setup games, and I've uploaded the fruits of those labors here in the hope that they will help others. The QRC is just a selection of tables transcribed or copy/pasted from tables in the rules. I made a roster template to generate rosters. I wanted to make it as easy to generate FLOB scenarios as it is to play them. You enter only the few select fields of critical data (on the Data-A or Data-B tabs), and the rest of each roster automatically generated from those, in a color-coordinated layout that should be easy to read and mark up. This is an ODF spreadsheet; you may be able to use proprietary spreadsheet programs like Microsoft Excel or Apple Numbers, but it's the native format of both LibreOffice or OpenOffice, which are free to download and install. You are welcome to modify this template any way you like. The This Trafalgar 1805 OOB is an example of the output (with flags added by copy/paste). |
